Bi-Protec

Bi-Protec is a 2-step process that combines our proven Nickelizing coating with an overlay of Armoloy chrome or XADC, a chrome and diamond co-deposit.

The Bi-Protec process involves layering the base metal with .0003 to .003" of Nickelizing coating and then overlaying the nickel layer with .0001" to .0003" of one of our chrome products.

This unique coating process allows aluminum and aluminum alloy tools to realize the advantage of Armoloy (78 Rc) or XADC (98 Rc). Bi-Protec reduces the coefficient of friction of moving parts and may be run against itself.

Use Bi-Protec in highly corrosive environments, in applications undergoing severe wear, and in applications that require a thicker deposit.
